HR Happy Hour 412- Should We Keep the Merit Matrix Model?

Host: Trish McFarlane

Guest Stephen Bruce, Managing Director at PeopleFluent

Listen HERE

This week on the HR Happy Hour Show, Trish was joined by Stephen Bruce, Managing Director at PeopleFluent.  Steven is responsible for leading the PeopleFluent business.  He's been in the software industry for over 20 years, many of which were spent as a HR leader.  Stephen draws on this experience to guide him now as he leads PeopleFluent to designing world-class enterprise HR technologies and talent management software that help companies build and power a productive workforce.

Stephen begins by sharing how someone working in human resources can parlay that career into other related fields, such as HR technology and software design.  Trish and Stephen then move to discussing the merit matrix and why it is a flawed process.  Stephen shares insights on how organizations can enhance their approach using workforce analytics.  It's a great episode for anyone practicing HR who goes through the annual compensation process with your leaders.
