    On this episode of the HR Happy Hour, recorded live at the Skillsoft Perspectives 2019 event in Orlando, FL, Trish and Ben talked with Mark Onisk and Wynn Schollum. Wynn is the  L&OD Group Manager of Datacom, based in New Zealand.  They are a digital IT solutions provider.  He talked about how people are using the Skillsoft system and how they decided to partner with them.  Wynn also spoke about the importance of the brain science behind this platform and how it works for them.  Mark is the Chief Content Officer at Skillsoft.  He brought in information on Skillsoft's approach to learning and the importance of having consumer-led content.  Additionally, they covered how a partnership with Skillsoft works and what to look for when searching out a partnership.

Joe was the founder of innovative recruiting technology company Jibe, which was recently acquired by iCIMS and he shared some of the history of Jibe and how their technology augments the iCIMS talent acquisition suite. Then Alen discussed some of the talent and hiring challenges at Novant, such as a chronic shortage of qualified nurses, and how innovative HR technology is helping their organization meet these challenges. Additionally, we talked about the importance of storytelling and connection to purpose in talent acquisition and how technology can support and enable recruiters in these efforts.
