Coming up on the HR Happy Hour

A quick update on what is coming up the next few weeks on the HR Happy Hour show (dates/times/guests) all subject to change, but this is hopefully how the next few shows will go:

    Episode 15 - October 22 - 8PM ET - 'HR Horror Stories'

Bring your craziest, wildest HR and workplace stories, we want to hear them. Employee relations nightmares?  Most shocking things you ever found in a candidate background check?  We want to hear them.  Special guest - The Venting HR Guy.

    Episode 16 - October 29 - 8PM ET - 'Is HR Dead?'

Does HR really need to disappear?  Is the whole idea of a central department to help manage all of an organization's talent really a relic?  If HR is really dead, what happens to all the HR folks today? If HR is not dead, but is just on life support, how can it be revived? Special guests - Frank Roche from KnowHR, and Michael VanDervort from Human Race Horses.

    Episode 17 - WEDNESDAY November 4 - 8PM ET - 'Fail Spectacularly'

This is a special live show from the Fail Spectacularly event in Chicago.  We will be covering the event, talking to event founders Jason Seiden and Laurie Ruettimann, and expect lots of surprises.  This event is so big, it will take a two hour show to contain all the awesomeness. You can check the announcement of the show going to Chicago here.

Episode 18 - SATURDAY November 7-  Noon ET - 'Live at the HRevolution'

Another special 'live' show, this one from the first ever HRevolution Unconference in Louisville, KY.  We will talk about the event of course, but also just get a chance for the folks attending to come on the show and say hello as sort of a 'audio guest book' for the event.

That is it for now, some other ideas that have been discussed for future shows are 'Workplace Flexibility - Strategies to Implement', 'The Real Spouses of HR', 'HR and Small Business' , and a few more.

If you have any suggestions for show topics or guests, use the links on the top of the site, 'Put me on the Show' and 'Suggestion Box' to let us know.

    Thanks as always for listening!

Steve- wow what a line up of great shows- Episode 15 reminds me of a doosie of a story I had to go to HR with- that my wonderful business partner in HR said was a first ever between 2 associates...looking forward to the shows- especially live from HRevolution where I see you live!

    Safe travels...
