Episode 21 - The Happy Recap

HR Happy Hour - Episode 21 - 'The Employer Branding Show' - December 3, 2009

This show was one of our most informative and interesting shows yet.

Guests Susan Burns and Charee Klimek shared their views on the concept of Employer Branding, what it means, why is it important, and how companies have a 'Employer Brand' even if they don't realize it.

Even my local plumbing contractor has an Employer Brand.  Sadly for him, it is mostly about overweight middle-age guys with pants that don't stay up.

We were also joined by Jerry Albright, who is not drinking the Employer Brand kool-aid, and Keith Robinson from the UK (love when we go all International). We probably could have continued the discussion for another hour, and I think we may schedule a follow-up next year to get into some of the real details of building and maintaining an Employer Brand.

Have a listen - and let me know what you think.

Is there such a thing as an employer brand in a recessionary economy with 10% unemployment?
