    Some Updates and Coming Attractions

It has been a really busy last few weeks for the HR Happy Hour show. Starting with the 100th Episode Celebration on May 19th, a live show from the Aquire User Conference in Texas a few days later, and then the launch of a new series, HR Happy Hour Europe on May 25 - we definitely have been keeping busy!

Some updates on what you can expect on the show in the coming weeks and months. First off, this Thursday June 2, due to some travel and other obligations, the HR Happy Hour show will not be live, (horrors!) - I plan on replaying Episode 87 - 'Robots and Social Networks' with guest Sherry Turkle,  author of the recent book 'Alone Together', and Professor at MIT. The show should replay on June 2nd starting at the normal show time of 8PM ET, 5PM PT.

Next week on June 9th, we will be back live, (I promise), with guest Hank Gilman from Fortune Magazine, and author of the recent book, 'You Can't Fire Everyone'. Hank was meant to be with us last week, but a last minute and unforeseen conflict has required that he had to be re-booked. I promise it will be worth the wait, Hank has some great tales from his career as an 'accidental manager'.

On June 16th, the show returns to Canada for the first time in almost two years with a live show to be broadcast from the offices of our friends from Rypple. Live shows are always fun, and no one knows how to host a Happy Hour like a bunch of Canadians, so you won't want to miss that show.

Going forward we have plans to do shows on LinkedIn, Corporate Social Responsibility, Creativity, and more. And of course any ideas, suggestions, guests, topics you would like to see covered - let me know!

Lastly, fans of the show will know that co-host Shauna Moerke decided to gracefully exit stage left after Episode 100. We love and miss her of course. And while I think about whether or not to look for a permanent show co-host, in the next few weeks you are likely to hear a few different people sit in with me for some of the shows. I like the idea of having a co-pilot so to speak, so we will play around with the format and cast and see what happens.

I think that is it for now, many thanks for all your ideas, and continued support of the HR Happy Hour show!
