    Thanks and Thanksgiving

I just wanted to take the opportunity of Thanksgiving in the US to say thanks to everyone that has supported the HR Happy Hour show this year.

We are taking the week off to eat turkey and pie, so there is not a new live show this Thursday.

At the beginning of 2009, there was no such thing as the HR Happy Hour show,  and quite honestly it was not something I ever imagined I would be involved with.  But a random tweet from Mark Stelzner, the lucky circumstance that I had a Blog Talk Radio page already set up for recording interviews for my HR Technology Class, and now here we are, 20 Episodes in, and seemingly enough interest and enthusiasm to keep going.

In just a few months we have built up a little community of fans and supporters and I am truly thankful for everyone who listens, calls, tweets, waves, and appears as a guest.

I would be remiss if I did not take the time to specifically thank a few folks that have been so supportive and without their help I am sure this little show would have disappeared by now.

Shauna Moerke - The HR Minion, show co-host and friend.  Shauna does a ton of work behind the scenes helping organize shows, booking guests, and keeping it all fun at the same time.

Lois Melbourne - CEO of Aquire Software, the official HR Happy Hour show sponsor. Lois has been such a great supporter, it is impossible to thank her and Aquire enough.

Laurie Ruettimann - from PunkRock HR. Probably the biggest supporter and cheerleader for the show, frequent guest, official Twitter backchannel leader and friend.  Thanks so much for all your support.

Trish McFarlane - from HRRingleader.  Another huge supporter of the show, creator of the #HRHappyHour hashtag, and contributor of what was probably the single greatest moment in HR Happy Hour show history, her interview nightmare tale on the 'HR Horror Stories' show.

Bill Boorman - Major support of the HR Happy Hour, regular contributor, and host of his own series of shows on Blog Talk Radio.

China Gorman - the face of SHRM. Great sport, two-time guest, and friend of the show.  It is great how she engages the community on a crazy little night-time call in show.

Jessica Lee - Editor at the Fistful of Talent, guest and contributor, and organizer of the 'Next Gen HR' show, which was one of the best shows of the year.

Susan Burns - A great supporter, frequent caller, and contributor of many great comments and ideas to make the show better.

Lance Haun - from ReHaul.com.  Lance is a frequent contributor to the show and always brings the knowledge.  The official Gen Y show rep, (although I know he hates that label).

Jennifer McClure - from Cincy Recruiter's World.  Jennifer has been a great supporter, contributor, and guest.  She is the go-to person in the recruiting and coaching space.

Animal - Host of the best show in the Recruiting space on Blog Talk Radio.  I listen all the time to try and get better at actually running the show. Animal gives tough criticism, but it almost always on the money.

I know I have left some folks off that deserve a mention, and I do apologize for that.  After 20 shows, maybe 100 guests, many more callers and listeners it is sort of impossible to remember everyone.  But I am truly thankful to each and everyone in the HR community that has been a part of the show this year.

2009 is not over yet, we have a few shows coming up in December so look out for those.

Lastly, the 'Show Archives' page is updated with links to all the individual show pages, as well as embedded players to listen back.
